FIRE DOOR REPAIR & MAINTENANCE - COMPLIANCE & MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS
Fire Doors require specialist installation and maintenance, as they differ from traditional doors. Routine checks/maintenance on door components, hinges, frames and closers.
Hollmark’s fire door surveyors are all directly employed and trained to carry out fire door inspections following the BM Trada scheme guidelines. Every single surveyor is audited regularly and re-assessed annually to maintain our own company, BM Trada scheme and industry standards. This is to ensure their skills are honed and knowledge remains consistent and up to date with current legislation.
The BM Trada Q-Mark 26 point check records in a clear and logical manner all key fire protection and compliancy features of a fire door. Hollmark uses the well-known industry recognised management system Bolster to record and document the survey findings. From this, a comprehensive remedial works quotation can be prepared and all follow on corrective works can be added to the Bolster system resulting in a linked, traceable history of findings followed by remedial works and certification for complete transparency and accountability.
AN INSPECTION WILL INCLUDE:
Identify breaches or possible issues which may adversely impact the doors performance in a fire scenario.
Provide a comprehensive written report with photographic evidence detailing our findings.
Offer advice and repair / improvement recommendations which are necessary to ensure the doors remain compliant.
A proposal to include door replacement (if necessary) and a regular maintenance programme.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005 is designed to provide a minimum fire safety standard in all non-domestic premises. According to the Order, premises should be checked every 6 months. However high traffic areas which will no doubt experience a greater degree of damage and/or wear and tear are recommended more frequent checks. If you are unsure how often you should be checking your fire doors, Hollmark can assist with putting together a bespoke inspection and maintenance programme.
