Passive Fire Protection Installations

CAVITY BARRIERS

Cavity barriers form cavity fire stops within buildings.  They are designed as a fire-resistant barrier which will remain secure in the event of a fire.

LINEAR JOINTS

Including, fire collars, compound work, acoustic sealing.

Pipe Collars and Wraps, when exposed to the heat of a fire, expand inward sealing any gaps within the pipes or cables.

Acoustic sealant expands in high temperature to prevent movement of smoke and fire. It is primarily used in small gaps and voids around doors and walls.

Fire Stopping compound is used in areas which are load bearing. Upon setting services can be placed through it and will provide up to 4 hours of fire resistance.

INTUMESCENT COATINGS TO STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS

The heat of a fire, around 220°c, will cause the coating to expand up to 100mm.

INTUMESCENT COATED BATTS

Fire Batts are used in compartment walls and floors which have been penetrated by services.  Sealing these penetrations correctly will assist in preserving the buildings fire resistance for up to 2 hours.

All fire stopping products used shall be 3rd party certified.
