Fire Protection Services

Met Police Fresh Wharf

METROPOLITAN POLICE

FRESH WHARF PATROL BASE

Project Brief

Site Introduction

Metropolitan Police - Fresh Wharf Patrol Base.

Scope of Works

Hollmark were employed by McDonald Brown via Willmott Dixon, to supply and install fire compartmentation partition walls. The system we installed was a British Gypsum (A206013 (EN)) single frame, which gives a 97mm thick wall and provides a 30 minute fire performance. We formed openings for service penetrations running through our partition wall, ensuring that the fire integrity was not compromised.

ON Site CHALLENGES

The Police base was a live site and therefore this made the logistics of working there complex. Special consideration, in particular, had to be made to the adherence of security protocols. A detailed programme of works and strategy was produced, ensuring materials were delivered safely and in a timely manner to site, and operatives were in agreed working areas at the appropriate times.
